April DiFalco - President
In 2004 April accepted a position with the GMCC and never looked back! She soon became well versed and immersed in “Chamber life” by way of the ascent to the Presidents’ office. What better way to understand the inner workings of an organization than by performing every function within it? From Administrative Assistant, Programs & Events Coordinator, Director of Member Services and even a short stint as the Bookkeeper, gaining a wealth of experience by working directly with the Membership. As a former Human Services professional, April’s background working with community members prepared her for the next step in her career, and in 2013 she took over the reins as President, leading the GMCC team, working closely with the business community, Town officials, Boards and Commissions to ensure the legacy of “making Manchester a better place to live, work and do business” continues long after her exit. April now spends her days fostering collaborations and partnerships, developing new Programs and Services, leading the Team and Members into the future and ensuring that this Chamber stands out amongst the rest by offering stellar customer service and a tailored membership experience, because businesses are not “one size fits all.” Reach out to April to find out why we are “Greater” Manchester.
Alex Lehofer - Director of Member Services
Alex grew up in Manchester, attended Manchester High School, and then went on to receive his BSEd from Central CT State University. Alex's former experience and education brings a fresh perspective to our approach in engaging up and coming entrepreneurs. Alex’s understanding of social media marketing and analytics makes him a valuable asset for our team and members. In his role, he is responsible for educating businesses on the benefits of membership, leading the coordination efforts for the Chamber's major fundraisers, and assisting in the community engagement efforts for the Chamber. Amy Heritage - Bookkeeper
In 2005 Amy joined the Chamber team as the Administrative Assistant and quickly proved she could handle more responsibilities. Extremely organized, with the mind and memory of a “steel trap,” she was the perfect candidate to take on the Events Coordinator position and once April took over as President, Amy stepped into the position of Director of Member Services seamlessly. After 15 years with the team, and now two “little ones” at home, Amy is passing on her knowledge and the Director of Member Services torch to Emma Petersen so Amy can focus mainly on the bookkeeping for the Chamber team.
