Making a difference in your community is not always easy and may not always be fun, but anyone who has won this award will tell you that it is always rewarding to know that you’ve given freely of yourself, even when you were so limited on time and energy. Knowing that she may have impacted just one person is reward enough for Carol Cavalieri. Carol tried to evade receiving this award by saying “This award goes against my grain, it’s not how I was brought up. I do for others for the sole purpose of helping.” And help she does! The list of organizations Carol lends her time to is inspiring, and she’s motivated others through her example. It is people like Carol who make a community a better place to live, work and do business one volunteer at a time.
